Curb Appeal
Curb appeal is your first chance to create a strong first impression on buyers from a street perspective. The pluses and minuses that jump out at buyers form their first thoughts about your house and how you perform house's regular maintenance.
Understanding this assists us in determining what actions we can take to draw buyers from the street and into your home. If your home's exterior isn't inviting with retouched paint and blooming greenery we'll need to tackle those as well. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and raise your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Does your place seem to say, "This is Your New Home" to a buyer? Examining your place with a buyer's eye, I'll recommend fixes that improve Open House appeal.
I'll suggest that you put out of sight things that give the look of clutter. Counter tops should be clutter-free. Knickknacks, souvenirs, family photos, and kids' drawings should get stored away too. We need to "generalize" the place so buyers can envision it as their new place.
I know instantly where a room's best characteristics are and how to show them off. I'll point out the pieces of furniture that should be removed, rooms that need new paint, carpet needing to get changed, fixtures that need shining, and any other improvement that can quickly be made to positively impact the sale.
We'll ensure your home has mass appeal and that it's comfortable, avoiding "offensive" or "too-bright" shades on the walls and furniture. And if the house is vacant, you can consider renting furnishings. The goal is for your home to look lived in as opposed to empty.

Setting the Stage
At every showing, we're doing well if we're engaging the buyer's senses. Brightness is a mood changer and we'll open curtains, and add lighting where needed to welcome the buyer. We'll enhance the ambiance with enjoyable music to listen to while guests look around your home and make sure a pleasant aroma circulates room-to-room. We'll make use of cozy-looking bedspreads, and pillows on your couch and bed. We want buyers to feel like your home is their future home. |
